Air humidifiers
Cieszyn’s Historical Library bought seven professional air humidifiers. The equipment will be operated in restorer’s workshop rooms and collection storage rooms.
Two unit types were purchased:
• B-300 humidifier – 5 pieces
• B-500 humidifier – 2 pieces
The units provide:
• electronic controller with a keyboard and LCD screen,
• settings of required humidity levels,
• electronic control of water level with a visual display,
as well as UV-based germicidal lamp, which additionally cleans the environment of any bacteria, which could pose risk to people and collections.
Additionally, B-500 unit allows remote control and humidity monitoring with the use of a humidistat installed within 15 meters from the humidifier. Measured room humidity signal is transmitted to the humidifier controller via radio waves.
Air dehumidifiers
The project included purchasing of two DHK 28 dehumidifiers and four smaller DHK 14 units.
Dehumidifiers, like the humidifiers and cleaners, will be used in collection conservation and storage rooms.
Apart from offering provisions referring to ergonomics, low power consumption and high efficiency, the equipment is equipped with a tank that allows automatic operation for several days.
Air cleaning
Renovation, lamination and other operations performed on dust-covered collections involve carryover of mould particles into the air. It is extremely important for work safety and hygiene to remove such microelements from the air.
Within the discussed project, Cieszyn’s Historical Library bought eight air cleaners equipped with multistage air filters and additional air ionizing lamps.
